Shepherdstown, WV Night To Honor Israel October 8, 2009
Pastor Pete and Kay Williams, West Virginia State Directors for Christians United For Israel (CUFI) conducted their second annual Night To Honor Israel at Covenant Baptist Church in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, October 8.
The keynote speaker and solo vocalist for the evening was Chuck King of Van Buren, Arkansas who was a former leading spokesman for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) and Artistic Director of the annual ICEJ Feast Of Tabernacles Celebration in Jerusalem from 1996 to 2008.
The emphasis for the keynote address was the prophetic biblical fulfillment of the 1948 rebirth of the nation of Israel. Chuck's first hand experiences while living in Israel, along with his dynamic worship style and love for Israel brought scriptural depth and truth in his teaching and into the evening's praise & worship. The gathering of 150 attendees from the tri-state area of West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland although small was a heart-changing experience of both Christians and Jews who attended.
Additional speakers were Galit Baram, Counselor for Domestic Political Affairs for the Embassy of Israel in Washington, DC and Ron Halber, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington (JCRC) Rockville, Maryland. The special offerings for the evening were given equally to the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington DC, and to the Shiloh Israel Children's Fund.
